As tractor-trailer was coming around a curve on two-lane road, its load shifted causing the entire vehicle to turn over as the plaintiff was approaching from the opposite direction. Plaintiff suffered a minor head injury and required neck surgery.

The vehicle in which plaintiff was a passenger tried to beat a yellow light by turning in front of an oncoming vehicle who likewise was trying to beat the yellow light. The vehicles collided in the intersection based on the reckless conduct of both drivers in attempting to beat the yellow light and in failing to yield the right of way. Although no surgery was required, the plaintiff was forced to drop out of school for a semester and was also required to undergo months of downtime and physical therapy in an effort to recover.

Plaintiff was a passenger in the vehicle driven by defendant. Defendant was driving at an excessive rate of speed when the vehicle hit loose gravel in a well-marked construction zone. Plaintiff, while walking down the sidewalk, was attacked by a Rottweiler. Plaintiff was saved by police officer who actually shot the dog during the rescue. Wrongful death of minor caused by preventable accidental shooting.

Estate of minor child claimed that adults improperly left gun unattended and unsecured thereby leading to the preventable accidental shooting. Case resulted in confidential settlement for policy limits of homeowner’s coverage.

Permanent injury caused by preventable accidental shooting.

Two members of a hunting club proceeded to get their rifles out of the back seat of the defendant’s pickup truck. When the defendant picked up his rifle, it accidentally discharged shooting the plaintiff through the midsection. Plaintiff was initially listed in critical condition and incurred hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical expenses with permanent injury. Permanent injury caused by preventable accidental shooting.

Defendant and plaintiff were walking together for exercise. The defendant’s pistol fell to the ground thereby discharging with the bullet striking the plaintiff. Wrongful death caused by the “over serving” of an intoxicated patron which resulted in crash.

While traveling down highway, the driver who was allegedly intoxicated lost control of the vehicle whereupon vehicle left the highway and struck one or more trees resulting in driver’s death. Wrongful death caused by tractor-trailer striking pedestrian.

Pedestrian attempted to cross four-lane highway late at night while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Case resulted in confidential settlement.

This case involved a collision between train and vehicle driven by plaintiff. Plaintiff received severe burns and numerous other injuries incurring medical expenses in excess of $1 million. Railroad claimed contributory negligence on the part of plaintiff. Case resulted in confidential settlement.
